Tom Brady’s Final Patriots Pass Auctioned for Animal Welfare

Tom Brady, often hailed as the GOAT (Greatest of All Time) in football, made history with his final pass as a New England Patriot. The pass that marked the end of an era for Brady and the Patriots was intercepted by Logan Ryan of the Tennessee Titans during the 2020 AFC Wild Card Game. What could have been a somber moment for Brady turned into an opportunity to make a difference in the world of animal welfare.

The interception by Ryan in the closing moments of the game not only sealed the Titans’ victory but also brought an end to Brady’s legendary 20-year career with the Patriots. However, fate had a unique twist in store for Brady and Ryan when they later became teammates at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It was during their time together in Tampa that Ryan approached Brady with a special request—to sign and inscribe the football from that historic interception play.

Brady, known for his generosity and philanthropy off the field, gladly complied with Ryan’s request. The football was adorned with Brady’s signature and inscriptions detailing the significance of the moment: “Last Pass As A Patriot,” “1/4/20,” and “Logan Ryan INT.” This autographed football quickly captured the attention of fans and collectors, becoming a viral sensation on social media.

Both Brady and Ryan share a passion for supporting animal welfare causes, extending their impact beyond the football field. In Tampa, the duo volunteered at the local humane society, with the Brady family even welcoming a new furry addition through the adoption of a kitten. Inspired by their shared commitment to animals, Ryan made the decision to auction the football through Goldin Auctions, with all proceeds going to the Ryan Animal Rescue Foundation (RARF), a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of animals in need.

The Wilson “Duke” football, photomatched to Brady’s final pass as a Patriot, comes with a Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA and a Letter of Provenance signed by Logan Ryan himself, ensuring its authenticity and historical significance. Collectors and fans of Brady have a unique opportunity to own a piece of football history while contributing to a noble cause that supports animal welfare.

The upcoming auction is expected to draw significant interest from football enthusiasts and supporters of animal welfare alike. By participating in the auction through Goldin Auctions, bidders can play a direct role in advancing RARF’s mission of providing financial and educational resources to animal shelters and rescues.

Beyond the touchdowns and interceptions, this auction symbolizes the enduring legacy of athletes like Ryan and Brady, who leverage their platform to give back to the community in impactful ways. The football encapsulates more than just a game-ending play—it represents the power of sports to make a positive difference in the world, one furry friend at a time.
