Leaf Trading Cards is gearing up to release two highly anticipated baseball card sets that promise to excite collectors with a blend of autographs, top MLB prospects, and exclusive inserts. These upcoming releases will provide fans with the opportunity to own unique cards featuring promising rookies and established veterans alike.
Leaf Metal is the first set on the roster, set to launch this Friday, October 25, in both Hobby and Jumbo Box formats. The Hobby Box offers collectors seven cards, including four autographs, two base/parallel cards, and one exclusive “mojo auto.” On the other hand, the Jumbo Box contains 14 cards, with eight autographs, four base/parallel cards, a Jumbo Box exclusive “pulsar auto,” and a “slabbed auto proof.” Each autograph and base parallel card in Leaf Metal will be numbered to 35 or fewer, adding to the set’s exclusivity.
One of the standout cards in Leaf Metal is a triple autograph card featuring the top three picks of the 2024 MLB Draft: Travis Bazzana, Charlie Condon, and Chase Burns. The set also boasts autographs from other notable 2024 draftees, including Nick Kurtz, Hagen Smith, and Konnor Griffin. Baseball America’s top-ranked prospect Roman Anthony makes an appearance, with a card in the “91 Leaf” insert set, paying homage to a classic Leaf series. Top prospects like Chase Dollander, Dylan Crews, and Coby Mayo are also featured, alongside potential future draftees such as Ethan Holliday and recent rookies like Paul Skenes, Elly De La Cruz, and James Wood.
Following the release of Leaf Metal, Leaf Press Pass Premium is set to hit shelves on November 8. This premium set offers collectors high-quality cards in special boxes containing six base cards and parallels, with five autographs included in each box. One autograph per box will be numbered to 25 or less, adding an element of rarity to the set. Leaf Press Pass Premium includes a 100-card base set and a 100-card retro base set, each with eight parallels numbered to 35 or less.
Autographs in the base set are limited to 199 or fewer, while retro base autographs are capped at 49 or fewer. The release also features a “Press Box Signatures” insert showcasing iconic names like John Smoltz, Jim Rome, and Vin Scully, adding a touch of nostalgia to the collection.
Both Leaf Metal and Leaf Press Pass Premium will be available for purchase on Leaf’s website and at major card retailers. Collectors can look forward to adding these unique sets to their collections, offering a diverse lineup of talent ranging from up-and-coming rookies to legendary veterans. Be sure to mark your calendars for these releases and grab these exclusive cards before they’re gone!
